We help families recycle their kids outgrown clothing. We sort the items you send us and send them to families across the world that are in need.
How It Works
Package it:
Gather your outgrown baby and kids clothing, shoes, socks, underwear, and accessories. Please make sure they are washed. We accept items with stains and minor imperfections like holes and tears. Place it in a package of your choice.
Send it:
You can ship the package to us by any shipping service like UPS, FedEx, or USPS. We ask you to provide the postage cost until we have brands that sponsor our program.
Sort it:
When we receive your items we sort them into categories by size, type, and condition.
Donate it:
Your donation makes it possible for children around the world that live in extreme poverty to have access to children’s clothing. OutGrown started sending childrens clothing as donations to West Africa and Haiti in 2019. As of 2023 we have sent nearly 3.3 million units of clothing to countries in need.

Answer: You can send in childrens clothing, childrens shoes, underwear, socks, and accessories. Anything a child up to 18 would wear.
Do you accept mens and women’s adult clothing?
Answer: No. We only accept children’s items.
Do all the clothing items need to be washed?
Answer: Yes.
Are stains and small imperfections like holes and tears OK?
Answer: Yes.
Where do my children’s used clothing go to?
Answer: We send them to the most extreme areas of poverty in the world where children’s clothing is scarce. We do send a lot to West Africa and South America. Our annual report will give more details.
Do you pay for the children’s clothing?
Answer No. If you would like to sell your used childrens clothing there are stores that will do that. However, most stores that buy used childrens clothing only buy a small portion of what you bring in. Our service will take everything because children in poverty don’t care if the items are “name” brand or not.
Do you provide prepaid mailing labels:
Answer: Not right now. We hope to get a few clothing brands to provide the financial support to make this possible in the future.
